Gators & Ghosts Tours: Your NOLA Adventure Awaits...

Welcome to Gators & Ghosts!

My name is Charlotte Della Theresa Allesandra Caro Crist. There, I've said it! I'm from a jazz family in the French Quarter (my great grandfather and his son taught jazz legend Pete Fountain). I started this business at 500 Bourbon Street in 2009 with an eye towards quality tours and customer satisfaction, and that continues to this day! After an extensive career in the tourism industry here and in Key West, Fl., I came back to my home city to help economically rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. We are an independent family owned and operated tour brokerage company. By not being owned by a tour company, we can offer unbiased opinions on the latest and best tours the Big Easy has to offer! It is with great satisfaction that we enjoy repeat business year after year. Stop by and say hello at 500 Bourbon Street (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily). We have some good recommendations for restaurants, special events and places to stay. Feel free to call us toll free at 888-481-8188 or e-mail reservations@gatorsandghosts.com. You can even text us at 504-595-9601. Your feedback is always welcome!

History, Adventure & Sight Seeing

We work with more than 25 different tour companies to find the right tour for you.

You can explore New Orleans' incredible history: from the Native Americans, to French and Spanish rule, the Cajuns and the Creoles, the Louisiana Purchase, the pirate Jean Laffite, Andrew Jackson and the Battle of New Orleans, slavery, Madame LaLaurie and her haunted mansion, Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau, Mardi Gras, jazz music, the Storyville brothels, early rock n' roll, Hurricane Katrina and the ongoing rebuilding.

You can see our beautiful above ground cemeteries, the 24 hour party that is Bourbon Street, our amazing architecture, magnificent and fascinating plantations, the mighty Mississippi River, our levies and canals and parks.

You can go deep in the bayou with a Cajun guide and view alligators close up.

You'll eat amazing food and hear fantastic music and perhaps imbibe some very intoxicating beverages.

New Orleans has so much to offer and we are here to help you discover it.

Personalized Recommendations

There are so many tour companies that do the same thing. How will you know which tour is right for you? By talking to us. We have personally been on every tour we recommend. We'll tell you what to expect, which tours are most likely to fit your interests, schedule and budget.

Unlike other New Orleans travel websites, we have a physical location at 500 Bourbon Street, in the heart of the French Quarter. Come see us and pick our brains.

We are a small, locally-owned and family-run business owned by Charlotte Crist and her nephew Leonard Crist.

Charlotte has extensive experience working in tourism. She lived in Key West for many years before moving back to New Orleans post-Katrina to help rebuild her hometown.

Leonard was born in Louisiana but grew up near Youngstown, Ohio. After earning a degree in journalism and working for newspapers for a bit, Leonard moved to New Orleans to begin a new adventure.

We love our jobs. We get to meet so many interesting folks from all around the world while simultaneously observing the Bourbon Street mayhem on a daily basis. We can't wait to share our love of New Orleans with you!
